A couple of months ago, my friend Steven Johnson shared the sad news that this site was no longer going to be active. ?That's a damn shame!? This was a new & innovative concept in the autocross enthusiast community. ?It employed the social network model & and was pulling some very good traffic numbers for such a short time online. Steven has surprised & pleased us agian with something new. That 1:15 minute SASCA Autocross compilation was well done, with a variety of cars, angle shots & so on. It's a wonderful cross section of the variety of the the autocross competion, The captions/tiles are a nice additional touch. We'll see you all at the next one. Autocross:An accessible sport for those who love driving fast! At the SPOKES 2009 Autocross #5 I had mentioned that Ricardo, a reporter from the Austin American-Statesman newspaper, was very busy. Steven Johnson has impressed me with a depth of coverage not seen in the autocross community.? At?the SASCA Autocross # 5 of 2009, he was busy video interviewing many participants, including me.? In addition, he still found the time to compete in the autocross. My hat's off to you, Steven! At last Sunday's SASCA Autocross # 5 of 2009, Steven Johnson of FullSolo interviewed me about this blog I've been developing for the past year.? I have been in conversation about this project since the end of last year with both Truong & Steven. This community will establish a foundation of interest & growth in the amateur sport of autocross (Solo). This has been something lacking in the past, and although pysically based in South/Central Texas, will move across the country fast. I know this will grow virally & soon! I see this as a win-win for the local autcrosser to get some well-deserved recognition, as well as increase the popularity and awareness of this sport we all enjoy. All will benefit!
